Grand Prix de Sculpture
Established in 1816, the Academie des Beaux Arts (Academy of Fine Arts) provides annual awards for excellence in artistic disciplines - including sculpture. The 'arm' of the sculpture is drawn wearing the famous Academy suit - designed at the request of Napoleon Bonaparte - midnight blue wool trimmed with dark green silk. It is allowed only to be worn by members of the Academy.
