A unique piece of Swedish regional farm history in this early handmade Flax brake (the brake was used by hand to break the Flax stems and cause the woody hull to drop off). This piece is made from Riven oak with 5 blades which two are movable in vertical motion. Circa 1830. This brake was found in old barn in northern Sweden, personally imported from Sweden in 1980's.
