WMF Art Nouveau silver plated visiting card tray model 280
This WMF silver plated visiting card tray measures 290 mm (11.5 inches) by 240 mm (9.5 inches). It is decorated in the Art Nouveau style, with a scene of lovers conversing over a wall and was designed with a dual purpose in mind. It could stand on a hall table to be used as a card tray for receiving visiting cards, or it could hang on a wall using the hook on the back. It is in excellent condition and has been replated. The WMF model number is 280, and this model is shown on page 168 of the 1906 WMF catalogue.
