Vintage Japanese sugi wood and bamboo folding screen
4 panel folding screen purchased in Kyoto. Estimated to have been made in the 80s.
186cm wide x 118cm tall when fully open.
46cm wide x 118cm tall when folded up.
Can be carried by one person, fairly light.
Features boat and mountain cutout motifs.
When I purchased the piece, it already had some fairly minor but visible damage to the wood frame (see example photos). The bamboo sections are in great condition. Generally in wonderful condition for something old.
