Mid-Century Australian Dining Suite – Table + 6 Chairs (c.1967)

Authentic Australian mid-century dining suite consisting of an extendable teak dining table and six matching chairs.

The table is factory-stamped to 101 Frobisher Street, Osborne Park, dated 1967, placing it within one of Western Australia’s key mid-century furniture manufacturing precincts. Construction, materials, and proportions are consistent with late-1960s Australian modern design, often compared stylistically to Parker / Nordic influences.

The Set Includes:

Extendable dining table with fold-out leaf

6 dining chairs total

4 upholstered-back chairs

2 timber-back end chairs

Condition:

Table is in very good vintage condition, structurally solid and presents well

Chairs are excellent overall

Upholstery is approx. 99% condition, clean and intact

Minor age-appropriate scuffing to some corners (no chips, not into the timber)

No repairs needed, ready to use

Additional Notes:

Chairs were re-upholstered in the 1980s, consistent with many long-owned family dining sets

Grain-matched tabletop sections indicate careful original manufacture

Unbranded, but clearly a quality Australian-made piece, not flat-pack or later reproduction

Summary:

A genuine, well-preserved 1960s Australian mid-century dining suite with documented origin, strong design presence, and practical everyday usability. Suitable for collectors, designers, or anyone wanting a statement dining set with real history.
