Large Poole Pottery vase decorated with floral BN pattern
This large Poole Pottery vase is decorated with a colourful hand painted floral design circling the shoulder of the vase. The pattern is designated the BN pattern, and was created by Truda Carter (1890-1958), who joined Poole in 1921. It was painted onto a matt white glaze called Alpine White, and the painters mark on the base shows it was done by Jacqueline Way. The vase stands 246 mm (8.75 inches) high and has a diameter of 177 mm (7 inches). It does have a small nick in the rim. It would date from around 1960.
