This large two handled vase from the John Campbell Pottery of Launceston, Tasmania stands an imposing 330 mm to the top of the handles and the body measures 235 mm in diameter. It weighs 4 kgs. Incised into the base is the cursive John Campbell signature script signed by master potter Billy Foster, who would have thrown this vase. The company shape number B35 is also incised. It is in very good condition and would date from the 1930's.
