Jugendstil Yellow and Blue Glass Vase by Loetz

An unusual 'Loetz' yellow and cobalt blue glass vase from Bohemia. The vase has a fine layer of blue steel glass known as 'ausfuehrung 134' in a crackle effect over the top of the yellow glass base. The vase while in a very classic shape, is rather unusual due to this crackle effect which undoubtedly at the time of manufacture was a very modern sight. The bottom of the vase features a ground snapped pontil mark which tells us the piece was handblown. This particular design dates to between 1911 and 1935 when Loetz was at it's height of production.

Measures - 25cm H x 9cm D
