Hammersley & Co vintage 1930s Delphinium fine bone china set of 6 demitasse tea cup and saucer duos, Longton Stoke on Trent England
Hammersley & Co Delphinium fine bone china set of 6 demitasse tea cup and saucer duos, made in Longton, Stoke on Trent England during the glorious era that was the 1930s.
Each cup and saucer is in identical excellent condition, with no damage that we have been able to detect. The gold rims are remarkably intact, however the cup and saucer bases (not photographed) do show tiny signs of long term storage discolouration with one or two having ‘nibbles’ (again, we stress this is the bases, not the cups and saucers themselves), which are only detectable by running your finger in a circle across the base.
It's a big call, but we are fairly certain that these beautiful pieces were used less than a handful of times. Not bad, given they are close to 100 years old!
