An imposing French Empire armchair with gilt griffins and ormolu mounts, crafted from cedarwood, circa 1800. Upholstered in a sympathetic red silk fabric featuring the Napoleonic bee.

Condition: Very good antique condition, recently restored in house. One bronze decoration missing, minor losses to the gilding. Some wear to the upholstery (pictured).
