Danish Deluxe - ‘Adeena’ mid century retro swivel arm chair
Danish Deluxe was formed in 1958 in Melbourne by Neville Askanasy, John Westacott and Borg Gjorstvang. Unmistakable in-house designs and quality craftsmanship earned the company its reputation as a renowned Australian furniture producer from the 1960s right through to the 1980s.
As well as their coveted avant-garde in-house designs, Danish Deluxe also manufactured high-end and technically challenging designs by legendary designers like Hans Wegner, Niels Moller and Grant and Mary Featherson. The company was also responsible for designing and producing furniture for the Sydney Opera House.
