Charles II ‘Restoration’ oak arm chair, Circa 1670

Charles II oak arm chair, the spirally turned back flanking foliate carving around a caned panel, the seat also caned, on spiral turned legs with carved ‘H’ stretcher and paw feet, the crest rail and foot rail both carved with two cherubs flanking a crown.

Some restorations & strengthening, slight damage to cane, with a large damask covered horse hair cushion, similar to original period cushions.
