AYNSLEY FINE BONE CHINA FLOWER SALT AND PEPPER SHAKERS
A pair of vintage salt and pepper shakers made by Aynsley Fine Bone China, believed to be from the 1970s. The popular brand was established in Staffordshire by John Aynsley in 1775. Starting out as a china decorator, he moved into production, specialising in lusterware. Sadly, the factory finally closed in 2014 after 240 years and 3 generations of Aynsleys.
These tiny salt and pepper shakers are meant to be placed beside an individual dinner setting. The salt cellar is a pink rose, surrounded by green leaves, sitting in a white pot.
The pepper shaker is a pink carnation with green leaves in a white pot. Both shakers have plastic stoppers
