Description: An antique English mahogany compendium or stationery cabinet with hinged doors that open to reveal a beautifully arranged interior. Inside is a removable tray above scalloped, wavy dividers designed for storing letters and documents. The cabinet includes two glass ink bottles and a pen or pencil holder. A brass pin secures the lower drawer and can only be opened when the main compartment is unlocked and the pin lifted, a clever feature of its original design. A fine and elegant example that would take pride of place on any desk or side cabinet.
