Antique brass mortar and pestle
This very decorative antique brass mortar and pestle could also be put to use in the kitchen grinding herbs and spices. The mortar stands 120 mm (4.75 inches) high with a diameter of 120 mm (4.75 inches) at the top. The pestle measures 205 mm (8.5 inches) in length and is 40 mm (1.5 inches) across the rounded ends. The combined weight is 1.4 kgs. It would probably date from the last half of the nineteenth century.
